Was that the last burst of winter? If it was, I wanted to share this photo from yesterday morning. The snow on the trees at sunrise looked like crystal figures. It was an interesting sky view that set up later on though. As the arctic air began to move on, the upper level relative humidities climbed enough to allow just about every passing jet to condense it's contrail. You could say it was contrail crazy. Check out these pics I got, and lick for the full image:
Here is a neat time lapse of a large Blue Spruce from my buddy Gene Taylor in Westminster. This shows the accumulation of over about 5 inches from morning to early afternoon. Click on each image for a larger view.
I wanted to show some of the pictures from around Baltimore.
This image from Towson University is one of many great images. Towson had about 4.5 inches of snow.
Specifically, Loch Raven Reservoir just notch of Towson. Jim Schuyler once again points the camera and captures the beauty of the snow.

Waves surrounding homes. Notice, the ocean is on the other side.
Pilings are essential to prevent flooding. However, the base has been exposed.
These pilings are from destroyed homes from a storm in 1962. The ocean has been eroding the beach fro years.
